Elsa Schiaparelli - Circus Collection.
John Galliano - Circus Collection.
Elsa Schiaparelli - Circus Collection is different compared to John Galliano - Circus Collection because Elsa Schiaparellis work is plain with abit off circus things on it like elephants but John Gallianos work its loud, big and bright colours with lots of circus things like a carousel. I like John Gallianos work because off the bright and also big and eye catching and stands out the styles he designs are unique and eyes catching. The ideas that its giving me is bright colourful and unique which inspires me to do big and loud things like John Gallianos work.

Digital
I found working digitally easy but I also found is hard when doing the pattern and shape because I kept forgetting how to do it. I think my designs look good but I think I could do abit better by using a lot more colour instead of using all the same.

Interviews and compare.
Tom stepdad interview
I asked my stepdad some questions about the 1970s like music, clothing, celebrities, jobs and technology. He said listened to the Beatles, Terex and Slade. and during the day he would wear black pants with a patch pocket on the side with a Fred Perry t-shirt. the celebrities that was common in 1970 was Jimmy Savile, Two Ronnie's (Ronnie Corbit) and (Ronnie Barker). I also asked my stepdad what jobs was in common and he said Tommy Field Market was the most famous market because people from Bury, Rochdale, Middleton and Bolton would travel to shop there. I also asked what was the latest technology in 1970 and he said Atria game console.
Rachael's interview
I asked Racheal a few questions about living in 2013 like the music, clothing, celebrities, jobs and technology. Racheal said that she listens to chart music. And that during the day she wears jeans and a top, she also said the celebrates that are comman in 2013 are kim kardashian and Rita Ora. I also asked Racheal what the latest technology in 2013 and she said I phones and I pads I also asked her about the jobs and she said there is some weekend job.
Since the 1970s to 2013 its changed because the music was load and rock n roll but in 2013 it is mixed and the technology if different because in 2013 we had I phone and I pads but in the 1970s they was tape recorders and game consoles. Its also changed because off the jobs 1970 was working in the cotton industry but in 2013 its weekend jobs and pub jobs however the clothing was different as well because the 1970s had bell bottom jeans and also had pockets on the side off the leg.
What is block?
1) A block is simular to a stencil becuase you can draw around it on the fabric.
2) A pattern is something like a button, pocket, plets and gavering its something that you can use on your final garment.
3) A toile is a piece of fabric what you do a practice on like sewing.
4) A sample is when you practice a small section from your final design.
I feel that certain fabrics are suitable to wear becuase they keep you warm and they are hard wearing for example wool=jumper.

What is research?
Research is used for finding information of what you need to know. A source is something like a image or a piece of work. A primary source is something that you have done by yourself and written by yourself. A secondary source is something that you have copied of or by someone or something. I think that primary sources are better than secondary becuase primary you can show your knowledge and your understanding off work.

Weekly Diary
These are my pockets to do my pockets I drew around a pocket stencil on a square piece off material and I also cut another square piece of material and I cut out another square stencil. Then I ironed my pockets so its nice and flat then I got my pockets and a square peace of material and then I started to sow my pockets on the square piece of material all the way around the edge apart from the top then I did the same with to my second pocket shape and the second piece off material.
This is my skirt I made this by cutting two pieces off material one full one and two half ones. I then ironed them down so there flat the two half's ones I had I put them together and sown the middle and letfed about 5cm from the top. Then I got the hole one and the half's I sown then I put it all together and sown down both side leaving the top and the bottom open.
To do my pants I drawn around a pant stencil on a piece off fabric then I cut the pant shape out off the fabric and did it to the other piece off fabric and started to sow down the side off both pants the I went up the middle and down the other side.
I made this top by drawing around a front stencil and a back stencil I did this loads off times because I was making the same mistake then I finally did it I made a v shape in both sides off the top and sown from dot to dot then I started to sow the top near the shoulders then I stopped and then I went from under the arm down then I went down till the bottom and then I did the same on the other side.
These are my plets I made out off material first I cut a square piece off material then I ironed the square piece off material so its straight and flat. I then started to fold the material from left to right then I ironed it again to it stays in the plets .
