Evaluation

Step 1 - Moodbaord
Creating a concept looked for a image of a female clown and created a collage from these images I decided I wanted to create a bright neon, illuminous, eye- catching, dazzaling and vibrant vest and skirt.

Step 2 - Thever developing the concept
I selected colours that were neon pink, blue, yellow, green and red also added suitable accessories like bags , jewellry and necklaces, bows, ribbons also pom- poms and  a variety of materials.

Step 3 - Firming up the designs
I drew the print designs in my sketch book to illustrate my print design for the vest. to do this i made a collagraph design which is a collage of materials glued onto a piece of cardboard. The inspiration for this design camee from . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . .  .  .  .. .  who created a image using geometric shapes. This collage design required the use of glue varnish in foil and took a week to dry.

Step 4 -
To create the skirt and vest I added the new fabrics and design features to my garment. I think I did really well with my garment, my garment matches my theme because its bright and my moodboard are colourful and bright. The one thing that I would change is to try and make my garment from scratch.

Unit 7 Brief

Thursday, 16 January 2014

This is my small sample bow I did with a square piece off polka dot material. I messed around with the material at first to get the shape I wanted. Then when I got the bow shape I pined it so it stayed in shape and then I went on the sewing machine and sown down the middle off the bow so its stays in shape.
I think its successful because its a sample I did and it came out really well. I choose to do this bow becuase it goes with my research also using the colour blue with the polka dots it reminds me of a clown.
